  Pub decor is lovely but that's pretty much where it's loveliness ends. Service incredibly slow despite it not being overly busy or a particularly tricky order for 4 people. Children's menu price comparable with London but the quality wasn't - cheap as possible sausages chucked on a plate with some chips. 'Award winning' pate was so peppery we couldn't finish it. The bread accompanying the charcuterie board was a cheap white loaf buttered with margarine. Welsh rarebit was some cheese on toast with a slice of unappetising bacon chucked on top. All in all it was one of the worst lunches I've had in a long time. Try somewhere else as it might look nice but I can assure you it isn't.

  We stopped for lunch, nice decor and friendly staff but an uninspired menu and poorly cooked food let us down.

  Was given somewhat of an ultimatum by who was presumably the manager of this place after 15 minutes of sitting down "either buy a drink or get out". This was exceptionally rude and was clearly motivated by the fact we weren't typical punters being young university students. I could tell he was looking us up and down as if we were insolent youths and even felt the need that to tell us we were "on camera" as if we were commiting a crime. Wouldn't bother going unless you're a local, very unwelcoming attitude from both staff and other patrons. Essentially referred to us as children by stating "this is a pub not a crèche", frankly me and my friends were shocked by how unreasonably rude this man was.
